Colonel Elliott

Interstellar Reggae Drive

Olympo LP Reissue

Moog / electronic reggae holy grail album from 1973. Trojan riddims with legendary prog/psych keyboardist Ken Elliott creating groovy instrumental space reggae, it’s Star Trek, Switched On & Tighten Up wrapped up in one! 10 tracks including Joe Meek’s “Telstar”! Exact reproduction of the original Spanish import edition.”What if Os Mutantes lived in Jamaica? And had a rendezvous with Perry & Kingsley, Joe Meek, and an ARP 2600 synthesizer? Back in the early ’70s some session musicians including Ken Elliott of UK prog-psych band Second Hand got together and recorded these songs with original riddims supplied by TROJAN RECORDS. The group were named The Vulcans for 1972’s “Star Trek” album and returned 2 years later for the slightly heavier and edgier “Interstellar Reggae Drive” released under the Colonell Elliott & The Lunatics”
